Celestia mainnet launches Matcha upgrade: throughput increases by 16 times, inflation drops to 2.5%
Foresight News reports that the modular blockchain Celestia has launched the Matcha upgrade on its mainnet. This upgrade introduces a new block propagation mechanism, increasing the maximum block size from 8MB to 128MB. The network's throughput capacity is boosted by up to 16 times, reaching approximately 200,000 TPS. At the same time, the inflation rate is reduced to 2.5%, and cross-chain bridging to any asset is now enabled.
