Bitget Wallet Now Supports Metis Andromeda Mainnet

Leading Web3 trading wallet, Bitget Wallet (formerly known as BitKeep Wallet), now supports the Metis mainnet, an Ethereum Layer2 network. Following this integration, users are now able to easily add the Metis Andromeda mainnet on both their mobile and browser extension versions of Bitget Wallet, allowing them to manage their assets and execute on-chain transactions. Moving forward, Bitget Wallet will be poised to further broaden and enhance its array of services, including Swap functionality, m arket trend capture for tokens, and interactions with decentralized applications (DApps).
Metis Andromeda arose from the necessity for permissionless and open collaboration, providing Ethereum users with an EVM Equivalent, lightning-fast, and easy-to-use Layer 2. Following the launch, a succession of upgrades were introduced, including gas calculation, peer node support, a community validator program, and, finally, the Smart L2. By implementing the Smart L2 upgrade, Andromeda enabled the lowest fees among any Layer 2 chain for its users while preserving Ethereum’s underlying security. Since last December, the TVL of the Metis network has increased sevenfold, ranking third among Ethereum Layer2 networks. The Metis Grants program is set to begin distributing tokens at some point in the first quarter of this year.
