Cboe Approved to Offer Margin Trading
Cboe Global Markets, the Chicago Board Options Exchange, was approved by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to offer physical and cash-settled margin futures trading, with plans to launch futures contracts for bitcoin and ethereum in the second half of the year, Bloomberg reported. Cboe, which currently supports spot and derivatives trading in bitcoin, bitcoin cash, ethereum, and litecoin, plans to increase the number of tokens currently traded on the platform.
