U.S. SEC Delays Decision to Approve Bitcoin ETF Options Listing Until End of April
On March 8, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission delayed its decision to approve the listing and trading of bitcoin ETF options on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (Cboe), the regulator said Wednesday, postponing its decision-making on approving the proposed rule change until the end of April, Blockworks reported, adding that Cboe did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the delay. The Chicago Board Options Exchange (Cboe) first applied to list and trade options on the newly launched bitcoin ETF back in January.
