According to news on May 22, Matrixport posted on the ETH's previous biggest fluctuations were concentrated in May 2021, when DeFi trading volume was near its peak and ETH staking was hot. The two big swings so far in 2024 have been largely policy driven (related to SEC and FOMC meetings).
