Biden and Trump to hold first presidential debate tonight
The first presidential debate between current US President Joe Biden and Republican candidate Donald Trump, who is friendly to cryptocurrency, will be held at 9:00 pm Eastern Time on Thursday, 2024. The cryptocurrency market has shown no signs of excitement. As of press time, the trading price of the largest token in the PoliFi field, TRUMP, is close to 8.5 US dollars, a decrease of 0.5% in the past 24 hours. According to Coingecko, its Solana-based token TREMP has fallen by 7.2% to 0.74 US dollars, and the trading price of the token BODEN, themed after Joe Biden, has fallen by 16% to 0.13 US dollars.
Neil Roarty, an analyst at investment platform Stocklytics, said that before the first presidential debate tonight, cryptocurrency traders will closely watch the clues of the November election and what it means for Bitcoin and the broader industry. The consensus in the cryptocurrency community seems to be that Trump's victory will be beneficial to the industry. In addition to the verbal support he has given, Bitcoin tends to perform well in periods of political and economic uncertainty, and Trump's second term as president may see more of this.
