According to a report by New World Wealth and Henley Partners, the number of global crypto millionaires has surged 95% over the past year as Bitcoin exchange-traded funds and other crypto assets have risen. Currently, there are 172,300 people worldwide holding more than $1 million in crypto assets, up from 88,200 last year. The number of pure Bitcoin millionaires has more than doubled to reach 85,400.
Crypto billionaires have climbed to the top of the wealth ladder. According to the report, there are now 325 cryptocurrency decamillionaires (those holding $100 million or above in crypto assets) and 28 cryptocurrency billionaires. Of the six new cryptocurrency billionaires born in the past year, five can attribute their newfound wealth to Bitcoin. Andrew Amoils, Head of Research at New World Wealth said: "This highlights its dominant position in attracting long-term investors buying large amounts of assets."
