Exowatt closes $20m funding round with a16z participation
Startup Exowatt has announced that it is tackling the energy needs of data centres through its ceramic battery technology. The company claims its technology can store solar energy for months, helping to cope with the rapid growth in power consumption in data centres. The company secured a $20 million seed round of funding from investors including a16z and Altman. Exowatt has reportedly amassed 1.2 gigawatts of orders, focusing on data centres and crypto mining projects in the US.
