BlackRock Head of Digital Assets: BlackRock Sees BTC as an Emerging Global Currency Alternative
In an interview with Bloomberg on September 26, Robert Mitchnick, head of digital assets at BlackRock, said, “When we think of Bitcoin, we think of it primarily as an emerging global currency alternative, and as concerns about U.S. Treasuries intensify, Bitcoin becomes an attractive alternative reserve asset, independent of the value of the dollar. “ Because of this, Bitcoin is valuable in helping investors diversify their portfolios, according to the BlackRock report.
