Odaily Planet Daily reports that Shaw, the founder of ai16z, posted on X saying: "I still don't know why my X account was hacked. I have 2FA, password manager, enhanced passwords and so on. Clearly this was a carefully designed and targeted attack. I apologize to everyone who lost funds. Honestly speaking, this industry is really exhausting."
