According to Global Network reports, US President Trump stated in front of Musk at a White House cabinet meeting on April 10: I don't need Elon to do anything, I just happen to like him. Trump praised Musk for doing "a great job" and revealed that he had purchased a red Tesla Model S at the "highest price" to express his support for Musk.
