Thailand SEC Plans to Ease Crypto Investor Testing Requirements
According to Jinse Finance, the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission has proposed amendments to ICO regulatory rules, allowing non-institutional investors to take a knowledge test only once instead of the current requirement to retake it every three months. Under the new regulations, ICO portals will be required to conduct suitability tests for all digital token investors, with reviews every two years to ensure that investors’ risk tolerance aligns with the product risks. This move aims to reduce the burden on investors and align with existing securities regulatory standards. The public can submit feedback on the proposal until August 1.
