Michael Saylor says his focus remains on Bitcoin

Michael Saylor says his focus remains on Bitcoin

Saylor is a Bitcoin maximalist and Strategy’s executive chairman. Not surprising he doubled down on his view that Bitcoin will beat the S&P 500 for the indefinite future.

He acknowledges that yes, there’s exciting innovation all over the crypto space, including other coins like Ethereum gaining institutional traction.

Corporate Bitcoin holdings

But Saylor firmly believes most of crypto capital is still flowing into Bitcoin, the original don, the kingpin of digital assets.

To put it in perspective, the Bitcoin dominance in the crypto market clocks in at about 60%, despite Ethereum and others making gains.

Over the past six months, the number of companies holding Bitcoin more than doubled, from roughly 60 to 160 firms.

Strategy itself holds 628,791 BTC , worth over $74 billion, pretty much dwarfing other public holders like MARA, which has just over 50,000 BTC.

Network effect

As for Solana, while it’s gaining attention and has ambitious price targets circulating, from $250 to potentially over $700 this year, Saylor hasn’t publicly shifted his focus from Bitcoin to altcoins like SOL.

Analysts predict SOL rallies backed by tech upgrades and ETF hopes, but Saylor keeps the spotlight on Bitcoin’s unmatched network effect and capital inflows, which remain decisive in his eyes.

Bitcoin dominance

In short, like a seasoned mafia boss unfazed by new contenders rising in the neighborhood, Michael Saylor sees Bitcoin as the enduring heavyweight.

And he’s probably right. New treasury companies backing Ethereum or Solana? They’re interesting players, but not the boss.

Bitcoin’s dominance and institutional pull, at least for Saylor, set the stage for it to outshine traditional markets and crypto rivals alike for the foreseeable future.
