What is FINSCHIA (FNSA)?
FINSCHIA, previously known as LINE Blockchain Mainnet and formerly LINK (LN), represents a significant leap in the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency. It's a third-generation mainnet built on the Cosmos SDK, created by LINE Corp, a global messaging giant. The aim of FINSCHIA is to establish a sustainable token model and develop a blockchain with a billion users. This initiative is part of LINE's vision to integrate blockchain technology into its vast suite of online services, which began with the launch of its own cryptocurrency, LINK, in 2018. By rebranding to FINSCHIA in 2020, LINE extended its reach beyond the messaging app's ecosystem to a broader marketplace.
How FINSCHIA (FNSA) Works
FINSCHIA's infrastructure is designed as a layered structure that consists of Finschia SDK, Ostracon, and CosmWasm, each playing a crucial role in optimizing performance, scalability, and security. The consensus mechanism is a vital component of FINSCHIA, and it's powered by Ostracon, which integrates Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT) theory into a proof-of-stake framework. This unique consensus algorithm ensures fast block finality and resistance to forks, laying a solid foundation for applications in various domains such as finance, e-commerce, and gaming.
Furthermore, the platform's stability is reinforced by using a verifiable random function (VRF) for selecting block producers, making it challenging to predict the next round of block generators and thus securing the network against potential attacks. To enable smart contract functionality, FINSCHIA integrates CosmWasm, based on the WebAssembly virtual machine. This integration allows for the creation, deployment, and updating of smart contracts in multiple programming languages, supporting ERC20 and ERC721 token standards and facilitating the easy implementation of business-specific contracts. This flexibility also enables connections to heterogeneous chains.
How Many FINSCHIA (FNSA) Tokens Are in Circulation?
FNSA's total supply and circulating supply both amount to 7,512,110.
