Bitcoin Realized Price Reaches $20,180, New Yearly High
According to Cryptoslate, bitcoin's realized price reached $20,180, a new year-to-date high for the beginning of 2023, with bitcoin's realized price hovering around $26,400 for the period 2020-2022, but then declining.
Note, realized market capitalization is calculated by taking the price of each bitcoin at its most recent movement, which takes into account the las t price of all on-chain transactions and can be considered a more "real" long-term measure of bitcoin's value, and more accurately reflects bitcoin's market capitalization. Realized price is the "realized market cap" divided by the current supply, and is considered the average cost basis for the entire bitcoin market.
