According to the South China Morning Post, Elizabeth Wong, head of the financial technology division and director of licensing at the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) in Hong Kong, said at the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association conference that the SFC is actively studying the benefits of tokenization while ensuring that "investors are not worse off if tokenization is used," and that the SFC is most concerned about cybersecurity, and whether it can ensure that the tokens themselves are safe from hackers and free from vulnerabilities.
