Andre Cronje: 10 million FTMs destroyed on Fantom chain
Fantom founder Andre Cronje (AC) released an update to the Fantom project on social media, which mainly includes: 1) Gas monetization (Fantom will subsidize 15% of the Gas fee to eligible dApps); 2) 16 active projects in the Fantom ecosystem have now earned 20,000 FTMs; 3) The ecosystem vault has earned over 500,000 FTMs through incubation; 4) Fee destruction of FTMs is now available to anyone with no limit; and 5) FTMs have been destroyed. 3, the ecological vault through the incubation of the project has earned more than 500,000 Gas fees, anyone can now apply and there is no limit; 4, the cost of destruction of FTM has exceeded 10 million; 5, Fantom this hackathon attracted 855 teams to participate; 6, through governance, the minimum pledge of verifiers reduced to 50,000 FTM; 7, an ethereum client team moved to Fantom and built A new super-optimized client was built and early tests have shown a 40% increase in throughput.
AC revealed that Fantom is about to release two major milestones, one is Carmen, which supports an EVM-optimized database, reducing mainnet storage by 98% and increasing overall throughput (reads and writes) by 9.8x; the other is Tosca, which increases overall gain by 50% and throughput by 4x over the current EVM architecture.
