OpenAI: A preparatory team is being formed to assess the risks posed by AI

OpenAI stated that they are building a new preparation team to evaluate, anticipate, and protect against the many risks that may arise from current large language models to general artificial intelligence (AGI) and other highly capable artificial intelligence. These risks include personalized persuasion, overall network security, and even some factors that threaten human survival.
