Helium Mobile Tweaks Crypto Rewards Payouts to Combat Suspicious Accounts
The rising value of MOBILE token is attracting new users to Helium Mobile, but also suspicious accounts. Helium Mobile has updated its terms of service to require new subscribers to wait eight days before claiming any MOBILE tokens earned through location sharing. This change is intended to address issues with the partially crowdsourced cellular network, which has seen a surge in customers and interest in its cryptocurrency payment mechanism. Helium Mobile's service uses a combination of T Mobile towers and individual-hosted hotspots, with both hotspot operators and phone subscribers earning MOBILE tokens through location tracking.
