The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) has released DeFi policy recommendations to address market integrity and investor protection issues in DeFi. Based on IOSCO's established securities regulatory approach, the policy recommendations for DeFi aim to support relevant authorities in jurisdictions seeking to establish compliant markets in the most effective manner. IOSCO also seeks to encourage consistency in regulatory approaches between the crypto asset market and securities market within its jurisdiction based on the principles of "same activity, same risk, same regulation/regulatory outcome."
