Circle CEO: The U.S. has a “very good chance" of passing a stablecoin law this year”
Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire said that the United States has a “very good chance” of passing a stablecoin law this year. He believes that the regulatory development of the cryptocurrency industry on a global scale is accelerating, and the United States is more likely to approve a stablecoin law than before. He said: “I think what you see is the wishes of the government, the Ministry of Finance, the Federal Reserve, and the two houses of Congress. Of course, it is the wishes of both parties.” Dante Disparte, chief strategy officer and head of global public policy at Circle, agrees with Allaire that the United States will introduce stablecoin rules in 2024.
