BlackRock's Head of Digital Assets: Low fees are not everything, IBIT has a holistic value proposition
BlackRock's Head of Digital Assets, Robert Mitchnick, stated in a recent interview that the low-cost selection of their spot Bitcoin ETF "IBIT" is just one aspect. This product has an overall value proposition, and currently, the attractive fees of IBIT have received positive feedback from clients. BlackRock pays great attention to cross-domain integration and has been a leader in the ETF field for decades. As early as 2021, they collaborated with Coinbase and integrated it between Coinbase Prime and Aladdin, enabling Bitcoin to operate on the same ETF service platform. The combination of traditional finance and cryptocurrency unlocks various interesting applications, especially in terms of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and accessibility. BlackRock is highly interested in this area and it is the reason behind their exploration and planning efforts.
