On January 30th, according to the latest complaint filed by the SEC, it is alleged that the Ponzi scheme HyperFund hired an actor to pretend to be its new CEO when it was launched on HyperVerse, and the executive who gave a speech at the press conference named Steven Reece Lewis was only a Thai TV host.

It is reported that HyperVerse is a fraudulent cryptocurrency investment plan that illegally raised $2 billion, and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed a criminal lawsuit against it. The sub-brands of this online investment business include HyperFund, HyperCapital, and HyperTech. Previously, it attracted up to $1.89 billion in funds from investors around the world who were promised quick wealth. The SEC alleges in the complaint that investors' withdrawals were paid with new deposits from other investors because there was no obvious legitimate source of income.
