Nayib Bukele successfully re-elected as President of El Salvador
According to CoinDesk's report, the Supreme Electoral Court of El Salvador announced the preliminary results of the election that day. The current President Nayib Bukele was successfully re-elected and will soon begin another five-year term. He will be inaugurated on June 1st this year, making Nayib Bukele the first president to be re-elected in the democratic era of El Salvador.
