US Stock Market Indices Close with Mixed Results, Precious Metals and Infrastructure Sectors Lead the Gains
The three major US stock market indices closed with mixed results. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) rose by 0.16%, while the Nasdaq Composite (Nasdaq) fell by 0.28%. The SP 500 index recorded a slight increase of 0.04%. The performance of popular technology stocks varied. However, the precious metals and infrastructure sectors emerged as the top gainers, while the travel services, solar energy, and semiconductor sectors experienced the highest declines.
