Humanity Protocol Raises Funds for Palm-Scanning "Proof of Humanity" Blockchain
Humanity Protocol, a zkEVM layer 2 blockchain built using the Polygon Chain Development Kit, has successfully raised funds from investors including Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal and Animoca Brands co-founder Yat Siu. The project aims to provide an accessible and non-invasive method for establishing Proof of Humanity for Web3 applications, using palm recognition technology and zero-knowledge proofs to preserve user privacy. The funding will be used to enhance the blockchain's scalability, accessibility, and efficiency ahead of its testnet launch. Worldcoin, another project aiming to deliver proof of humanity using biometrics, has faced investigations and concerns over data collection and storage.
