Over 20 encryption institutions propose to add Bitcoin to the emoji list
BlockBeats reports that on March 13, Nexo initiated the "Bitcoin Deserves an Emoji" campaign, with over 20 crypto institutions including BTC Inc., Bitget, Brink, Chainalysis, Hacken and Nansen joining the initiative. The campaign unites the global cryptocurrency community in hopes of adding a Bitcoin emoji to digital keyboards and emphasizes that cryptocurrency is not only a form of currency but also a symbol of technology and culture in today's society. This initiative is driven by the community; it began with a 50-day petition on Change.org followed by an official proposal submitted to Unicode Consortium in 2024 for adding a Bitcoin emoji - an idea which was rejected back in 2020.
