Founder of 10x Research: Koreans prefer cryptocurrencies to stocks
Golden Finance reported that Markus Thielen, founder of 10x Research, said that the cryptocurrency trading volume in South Korea is sometimes higher than the stock market trading volume. For example, in early March this year, cryptocurrency trading volume reached $16 billion, while Kospi’s total trading volume was $8 billion. Shiba-Inu's transaction volume was $3.5 billion, surpassing Samsung Electronics. Analysis shows that South Koreans are significantly more inclined to invest in cryptocurrencies. This has to do with the high earning potential of cryptocurrencies, the competitive labor market, and the high real estate market. Additionally, many South Koreans grew up playing video games and making electronic payments, making them more receptive to cryptocurrencies.
