Avalanche posted on platform X, stating that according to DefiLlama data, currently 93% of DeFi TVL is locked in Solidity contracts, followed by Rust with a share of 4.5%. Popular Web2 languages such as C#, C++ or Java together account for less than 0.2%. With the rise of purpose-built sovereign L1s with fully customizable execution, this situation will change.
