The asset valuations of top cryptocurrency venture capital significantly increased in 2023
Cryptocurrency risk investment companies Paradigm, Polychain Capital, Multicoin Capital, Haun Ventures and Blockchain Capital all had higher asset valuations in 2023 than the previous year. The fund value of Polychain Capital nearly doubled, increasing from $2.61 billion in the previous year to $5.04 billion in 2023. In September 2023, Blockchain Capital announced that it had raised an additional $580 million for more cryptocurrency investments; the company stated that its managed assets increased from nearly $1.74 billion to $2.36 billion. Other companies with smaller increases include Paradigm, whose fund value exceeded $10 billion; Haun Ventures, whose asset valuation surpassed $1.5 billion; and Andreessen Horowitz which considers cryptocurrencies as one of its investments with a massive fund valued at $56 billion by the end of 2023.
