Musk faces a shareholder lawsuit for damaging Tesla's interests through his acquisition of Twitter
Golden Finance reports that a new shareholder derivative lawsuit alleges Elon Musk violated his obligations to Tesla shareholders by selling Tesla shares and misappropriating Tesla resources during the acquisition of the social media platform then known as Twitter (now renamed "X"). On Monday, the Rhode Island State Employees' Retirement System sued Musk, Tesla, and members of the Tesla board, claiming that Musk's heavy involvement in acquiring Twitter distracted him from his duties at Tesla, creating a conflict of interest that harmed Tesla's interests.
