Bitcoin Virtual Machine Team Launches BitZK Service to Scale the Bitcoin Network
Golden Finance reported that the Bitcoin Virtual Machine (BVM) team launched BitZK last week, a zero-knowledge proof (ZK) service aimed at enhancing the scalability of Bitcoin. This service allows users to create summaries and migrate applications from Ethereum to Bitcoin. BVM developer @bird2836 stated that this is the first Bitcoin ZK summary instance on the mainnet, marking a significant technological breakthrough. The monthly fee for BitZK service is at least $99 and has attracted early users including RWA Chain, POWD3R Blockchain, and Octopus Bridge. BVM was launched in January 2023 with the goal of making the Bitcoin network have the functionality of other networks such as Ethereum, utilizing the security and data availability of Bitcoin to promote the development of Bitcoin's scaling solutions.
