Nigerian Police Arrest Crypto Billionaire Linus Williams

Nigerian police have confirmed the arrest of Linus Williams, who claims to be a cryptocurrency billionaire and also goes by the name Blord. Williams is facing charges related to internet fraud, financing terrorism, and violating the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Act.

A police spokesperson stated that some of Williams' charges involve using cryptocurrency for fraudulent activities. Specifically, he operated a trading platform that used Naira to purchase stablecoin USDT and Bitcoin, which violates the country's laws.
