A fake "double money" scam impersonating Musk appeared on YouTube, defrauding $28,000 in crypto assets in three days
In the past three days, a "double funds" scam impersonating Elon Musk has appeared on YouTube. The scam disguises itself as an official Bitcoin 2024 live broadcast and tricks users into sending their encrypted assets. Last weekend, an AI-generated fake Musk live stream was very active, with just one specific video gathering over $28,000 worth of Bitcoin, ETH, and Dogecoin. The scam follows the typical "double your money" plan, enticing users to send any amount of Bitcoin, ETH, Dogecoin, or USDT, and promising to receive twice the amount sent.
