Qatar to implement encryption framework by end of 2024
Qatar has put in place a solid framework for tokenizing a variety of real-world assets, including securities, debt capital market instruments, investments, sukuk and other asset classes, said Henk Jan Hoogendoorn, head of the financial services sector at the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC). The framework is expected to be finalized and enacted in the fourth quarter of this year. In addition, QFC had recently established a digital asset laboratory to encourage innovation and research in the field of finance and digital assets.
