Phase 2: Gold Distribution 2

11 million Gold will be distributed to Dapps in the second Gold distribution of Phase 2. For this distribution, 10 million Gold has been reserved for existing Dapps on Blast Mainnet and 1 million Gold has been reserved for newly launched Dapps. More details on the next Big Bang competition will be shared in the coming weeks.

Important Changes

Starting this month, Dapps can allocate Gold directly to assets. However, the exact mechanism will need to be approved by the Blast Foundation on a case by case basis. The distribution mechanism needs to be in the best interest of users and Dapp growth. If you are planning on distributing Gold to assets, please reach out to the Blast Foundation. This policy might change in the future based on future learnings.

To further grow the Blast native asset ecosystem, a new Culture category has been introduced. Projects that significantly drive Blast-native culture and community were included in this category, with tokens receiving 50,000 Gold and NFT projects 25,000 Gold. This is a new experimental category and subject to change.

The methodology used for Gold Distribution 2 can be found in this  blog post . Dapps that utilize the BLAST token in a novel and significant way received a bonus Gold allocation in this distribution.

Category Weights

Note: Projects in the culture category received a set amount of Gold depending on whether they're a token (50k Gold) or NFT (25k Gold)
