Web3 Foundation Provides PolkadotKit with Decentralized Futures Grant

The Web3 Foundation announced that Finsig's PolkadotKit project has been awarded its Decentralized Futures Grant, which supports a groundbreaking initiative to integrate Web3 technologies into mobile applications in a more seamless and efficient way. The main goal of the PolkadotKit project is to develop native light client packages for iOS and Android platforms. This innovative solution will enable smoldot to be integrated directly into mobile applications, eliminating the need for intermediate layers such as third-party frameworks or JavaScript runtimes. By eliminating these additional dependencies, PolkadotKit simplifies the development process of creating decentralized, untrusted applications on mobile devices.
