Ki Young Ju, CEO of CryptoQuant, recently shared insights on Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) investments based on 13F filings, revealing significant institutional interest in the cryptocurrency

According to the report, over 1,000 companies, each holding more than $200 million in assets, have been adding Bitcoin to their balance sheets via exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

This development is reminiscent of the market excitement when Tesla made its Bitcoin purchases.

The 13F filings, which disclose the holdings of large firms, provide a clearer view of which companies are actively investing in Bitcoin.

According to Ki Young Ju, the institutional presence in U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs has reached approximately 20%, with asset managers collectively holding around 193,000 BTC.

He commented, “Thanks to spot ETFs, 1,179 institutions have joined the list of Bitcoin investors this year.”

This surge in institutional participation signals a shift in market dynamics, as more companies seek exposure to Bitcoin through regulated investment channels.

The report highlights a notable increase in holdings by firms that offer ETFs on behalf of their clients, as well as others that maintain Bitcoin directly in their reserves.

Adding to this perspective, analyst Daan Crypto Trades pointed out that the current market environment is characterised by high volatility, often seen during capitulation phases.

“An interesting chart shows volatility on options.

This high volatility usually occurs during capitulation movements.

All these increases have been met with local/cyclical lows. Capitulation = Opportunity,” he explained.

The combination of increasing institutional investments and volatile market conditions indicates potential buying opportunities for Bitcoin.

The ongoing accumulation of BTC by major companies through ETFs reflects growing confidence in the digital asset’s long-term value.

At the time of reporting, the Bitcoin price was $67,326.05.
