Coinbase Ventures and a16z Crypto Startup Accelerator (CSX) have announced a new strategic injection of funding into Skyfire, an AI-focused payments company, an investment that brings Skyfire's total seed round funding to $9.5 million, up from the previous $8.5 million, according to The Block. Skyfire is currently building the infrastructure to enable AI agents to make payments autonomously and avoid manual intermediaries.
