Musk Ignores DOJ Warning, Again Awards Two $1 Million Bonuses to Voters
Elon Musk's super PAC awarded two $1 million prizes to registered voters in Michigan and Wisconsin on Thursday, ignoring an earlier warning from the Justice Department that the prizes could be illegal, Golden Ten reports.
The pro-Trump super PAC said Wednesday that the Justice Department sent a letter to the organization warning that its “daily” sweepstakes may violate federal election law, which prohibits paying for voter registration. Musk launched the sweepstakes on Saturday, and the super PAC will announce a winner every day until Wednesday.
