NYSE NYSE Arca Trading Hours Adjusted: 22 Hours Per Day, Regulatory Synchronization Updates

On Oct. 25, the New York Stock Exchange plans to extend weekday trading hours on its NYSE Arca stock exchange to 22 hours a day, according to Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas on the X platform. 
The NYSE, which is part of the Intercontinental Exchange, said the new extended trading hours for its all-electronic trading platform, NYSE Arca, will be 1:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.
Kevin Tyrrell, head of markets at the NYSE, said, “The NYSE's move to extend U.S. equity trading hours to 22 hours a day, five days a week, underscores the strength of the U.S. capital markets and the growing global demand for our listed securities.” It also said it would seek support for the expanded trading from the U.S. Securities Information Processing Corporation. The changes will be accompanied by updates to regulatory rules, and NYSE said it will file an updated framework with the SEC.
