Trump: ‘Confident’ of winning election
Nov 6 - Former U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump arrived together at a polling station in Palm Beach, Florida. After the polls closed, Trump spoke to the media, saying he was ‘very confident’ he would win the election and that ‘the two sides won't even be close,’ while expressing disappointment that it might take a while for the results to be announced. Trump said, ‘I feel very confident. I've heard we're doing well everywhere.’ He added that it was ‘the best’ of the three campaigns he's been on. But Trump complained that certification takes a long time. ‘They spend all their money on machines’ that take a long time to produce results, citing the French election as an example of a quick election. Trump has repeatedly used the long wait times to count mail-in ballots to question the fairness of the election.
