US Media: Early voting results in Georgia send complex signals
According to reports, Georgia is one of the seven most important swing states in this presidential election, and the early election results there did not reveal much about where the state might be headed. Currently, Trump leads Harris with a 60% approval rating compared to her 40%, while only 9% of the expected vote count in the state has been tallied. However, it's worth noting that two metropolitan counties in the Atlanta area have reported at least 70% of their expected votes. The number of blue votes (votes for Democrats) in these two counties significantly exceeds levels seen in 2020, as does those from many other rural counties across the state. So far though, an estimated three-quarters of all votes casted in Georgia are either early or absentee ballots which should favor Democrats more than Election Day voting would.
