Harris wins Hawaii state
ChainCatcher News, Harris has won the 4 electoral votes of Hawaii. This is the tenth consecutive time that Hawaii has chosen a Democratic candidate for the presidential election.
The last time the state chose a Republican for the highest national office was 40 years ago when Ronald Reagan won in 1984.
Hawaii is a staunch Democratic state, with Democrats controlling all statewide elected offices and both of its seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. The Democrats have also long controlled over three-quarters of seats in both houses of State Legislature. The Associated Press announced Harris's victory at 12:00 AM Eastern Time.
