Harris gives speech admitting defeat
Harris, the incumbent vice president of the United States and Democratic presidential candidate, delivered a speech at Howard University in Washington DC on the afternoon of 6 November local time. Harris said she accepts losing the election and will help Trump and his team complete the transfer of power in a peaceful manner. Earlier in the day, Harris spoke with Trump and congratulated him on his victory.
