Galaxy's Vice President of Research, Christine Kim, summarized the 201st Ethereum Core Developers Execution (ACDE) conference call. During this time, EF Developer Operations Engineer Parithosh Jayanthi introduced three open pull requests (PRs) for the Pectra Devnet 5 specification and asked client teams to review them as soon as possible in order to finalize the Devnet 5 specification. The details are as follows:

1. EIP 7742: Remove blob limit per block between Cl and EL (consensus).

2. Add EIP 7691: Increase blob throughput (consensus).

3. Changes required by EIP 7742 (Execution API).

Core developer Tim Beiko stated that he would add EIP 7691 to Pectra Meta EIP after the conference call ended. EF researcher Ansgar Dietrichs said that he had determined the update score for EIP 7691 and was preparing to merge it into the Devnet 5 specifications.

Later on, Beiko mentioned there were three main issues regarding Pectra's scope related to EL - BLS gas repricing and including both EIPs -7623 -7762 in Pectra. He emphasized that developers should determine Pectra's scope before holidays so they can proceed with upgrade implementation with "clear goals" in January.

Developers agreed to remove pre-Merge block bodies and receipt data before May 1st,2025 . Piper Merriam pointed out that removing pre-Merge data from clients will free up "hundreds of GB of disk space" on nodes. The complete plan around EIP-7639 will be a step towards achieving Ethereum full history expiration defined in EIP-4444.Merrian stressed that client teams must start researching onE IP-7639 ASAPto ensure meetingthe target dateof May1st ,2025.
