YouTube is teaming up with the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) to roll out tools allowing creators and celebrities to detect AI-generated content that uses their image, face, or voice.

The idea behind it is to find AI-generated videos of celebrities and sports personalities on the platform that mimic their face, voice, and other aspects of their identity. This move aims to make it easier for them to request to remove such fake content from the platform.

As nowadays AI-generated deep fakes are becoming a major concern for many people, especially for the public figures. Celebrities are often targeted because there is so much content available about them on different online platforms.

YouTube is also taking steps to address another growing issue which is the misuse of AI to replicate creators’ or artists’ singing voices. The company is working on a new “synthetic-singing identification technology” designed to detect AI-generated content that mimics someone’s singing on some other video.

Earlier during this year, YouTube has introduced a policy for creators to clearly label AI-generated content to the videos made by using AI ensuring transparency.  It means that if anyone is uploading AI-created work one must disclose it in the video description or metadata.

As per reports , It will start early next year, and a select group of celebrities, including award-winning actors and top NBA and NFL players, will begin testing these tools.
