Crypto Venture Capital Reaches $4 Billion in Q4 2024, Infrastructure Track Leads the Way
Gold Finance reports that venture capital investments in the cryptocurrency space totaled $4 billion in Q4 2024, with 687 deals, the highest quarterly investment total since Q4 2022, according to data from The Block. Of these, infrastructure projects accounted for the largest share of capital, despite having fewer deals (111) than any other category. This was followed by financial services with $970 million deployed. web3 projects had the highest number of deals at 141, followed by NFT/gaming at 132. Trading and brokerage investments declined from $320 million in the first quarter to $161 million in the fourth quarter.
