South Dakota and Kentucky lawmakers to introduce Bitcoin reserve legislation
On January 29, according to Cryptoslate, South Dakota Congressman Logan Manhart announced that he would introduce a bill in the South Dakota House of Representatives to establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve. He added that this is one of the few opportunities for the government to take the initiative. At the same time, Kentucky Congressman TJ Roberts said he would also introduce similar legislation in his first week back at General Assembly.
