The cryptocurrency market is seeing a 1.2% drop today as several assets record a major recovery amid the sharp sell-off. Analyzing the price action of the largest cryptocurrency on the market, analytics platform Santiment noted the accumulation movement of BTC whales amid the recent market crash. “In a tale as old as time, Bitcoin whales are accumulating more coins during the average cryptocurrency crash and major volatile conditions.”

Analysts noted that for small retail traders, especially those who entered the markets in the past six months, the volatility is causing them to liquidate. In the past 24 hours, 90.984 traders were liquidated, bringing the total liquidations to $182,60 million, according to data from the CoinGlass platform. The largest single liquidation order occurred on the Binance exchange – BTCUSDT worth $1,94 million. According to the data, BTC had a liquidation of $38,88 million in this period.
